Why learn to bartend in Lisbon?

Lisbon is a perfectly sized coastal city with a mild Mediterranean climate all year round. As Europe’s second-oldest capital, you can take in the rich history by admiring the architecture of its pretty streets or visiting fascinating cultural sites like ancient castles. The city is famous for its food markets so make sure to stop by and enjoy some bacalhau or classic Portuguese custard tarts. As for drinks, the craft cocktail scene has recently begun to flourish and Lisbon is currently gliding through a real renaissance. Whilst sexy, sophisticated venues like Cinco Lounge have been around for over a decade, the capital’s thirst for sensational spirit mixes intensified after the opening of the Red Frog speakeasy in 2014 which placed 40 in the 2022 World’s 50 Best Bars awards. Don't miss it!

The EBS Lisbon school

You’ll be unleashing your bartender brilliance at our facilities in Penha de França. This is a neighbourhood in the historic centre of Lisbon so you can expect charming winding streets, traditional Portuguese architecture, and small squares. Surrounded by little cafes, shops, markets, and green spaces, the atmosphere is tranquil and you are well-connected to the livelier areas of the city via bus and tram for those party nights. The school is a 10-minute ride from the centre and a 10-minute walk from the accommodation. The purpose-built facilities include 11 bar stations as well as flair, free pour areas, and a live bar.
